Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
Hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in Long Island City keep standard business hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on weekends and holidays. You can reach Massa's Coal Fired Pizzeria & Bar at (718) 433-4646; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 132 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Long Island City is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Long Island City follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My first experience at Massaβs was good and the pizza as well. I tried gluten free pizza for the first time and it was actually great! They close late and it was the only pizza place open at midnight in the area.

If you're a true New Yorker or visiting to get the amazing flavor of a classic NYC brick oven pizza....you come to Massas. The pizza is always perfectly cooked with the ideal equation of sauce to cheese and crust ratio. The margherita is always a homerun...I recommend a Medium size for yourself because it just that good. The Pancetta Pie is a nice twist when you want a white and a red pie. Ben is the sweetest guy. He takes so much pride and his pizza maker and bartender do the same. This is the kind of place you want to fill your belly with hearty, fresh goodness. And dont be shy about getting the Cannoli. It is always crispy on the outside with a creamy fluffy filling. Perfect end to the meal with a glass of Cab. It is casual dress - no judgments here and a pleasant atmosphere. My boyfriend and I also order off seamless too when were feeling lazy and the food is always so delicious - same order everytime - margherita pizza, meatballs, ceaser salad. Come by and say hello to Ben and enjoy a nice casual authentic night out.

We enjoyed our dinner and drinks here! Large house salad, meatballs and Margherita pizza were all delicious. The drink of the day and the whiskey takes Collins were great. Nice happy hour specials on drinks. Staff was friendly and attentive. Prices are comparable to similar restaurants in the area. Relaxed atmosphere with games on the TVs.

Great new pizza spot right off the queens plaza/queensboro plaza stops in LIC. Decent sized bar area and larger back room make this a great spot to bring a large group. Great quality coal fired pizza, and great happy hour specials. Looking forward to returning and trying more of the menu.

Good new pizza place, just a week old. They've got a happy hour they run from 4.30-8.30 pm each day giving you buy-one-get-one on a couple of beers and wines. The personal pizzas are the perfect size and reasonably priced (provided you go easy on the toppings, $3/ each). But their margaretta pizza is delicious!
